Class Description:

The return of the Trump administration has brought mass change in the legislative and regulatory environment. With these mass changes, mass confusion amongst employers as to how to respond and maintain compliance became reality.  In this session, we will examine key legislative/regulatory activity across the country.
We will examine the effect of the Trump's executive orders on employers in key areas, delve into immigration policy aimed at employers, and look at some key areas in which states are adding legislation as a federal government steps back.....such as wage theft laws, paid sick/family leave and other employee protection measures.
Additionally, we will look at some things employers can do to prepare themselves for specific enforcement action and how to better anticipate what may be coming down the legislative and regulatory pipelines.
