About the Speaker:

Senior Vice President of Wage & Corporate Disbursements, Green Dot Corporation & Co-Founder of rapid! PayCard,

Brian is one of the rapid! PayCard Founders and is currently the Senior Vice President of Wage & Corporate Disbursements with Green Dot Corporation. Brian brings to

his role more than 25 years of management, leadership and entrepreneurial experience.

Prior to joining Green Dot, Brian was most recently Vice President of rapid! PayCard. He was responsible for the Business to Business go to market strategy and revenue team management of the paycard group for UniRush, a multi-line prepaid company.

Brian holds a BS of Journalism from the University Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa and has numerous family members that are retired and/or current NFL Coaches.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW
Earned Wage Access is an outgrowth of the Gig Economy. Generational change in the 
workforce and the prevalence of the Gig Economy has demonstrated to employees that 
access to their pay can be nearly immediate! Earned Wage Access allows employees to 
receive a portion of their earned wages in advance, as opposed to receiving the entire 
amount on a designated payday, and this employee benefit is changing payroll practices 
all over the country. What is payroll’s role in defining and creating best practices for 
Earned Wage Access and what you might expect to happen in the near and distant 
future? This session will help attendees determine if the Earned Wage Access is an 
Employee Benefit, a benefit that their company should evaluate, and how they can 
determine their best path towards offering this benefit to their employees.
